David advises investment banks and hedge funds on legal issues related to the purchase and sale of loans and securities of distressed and bankrupt companies, including bank debt, notes, trade claims and accounts receivable, both domestically and in Europe. David also advises clients on general corporate and securities matters, as well as the structuring of bankruptcy-triggered puts and other hedging vehicles designed for credit default protection. David is an active participant in the Cross-Border Working Group of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association which is engaged in a joint effort with the Loan Market Association to review and improve documentation for cross-border bank debt transactions. In addition, David has experience with representation of institutions in the purchase and sale of commercial mortgage loans and real estate portfolios.
