Dr. Urdal has served as the chief scientific officer since joining Dendreon in 1995. Dr. Urdal previously held various positions with Immunex Corporation, including the president of Immunex Manufacturing Corporation, vice president and director of development and head of the departments of biochemistry and membrane biochemistry. He serves on the boards of Ore Phamaceuticals Inc., a drug development company, and VLST Corporation, a biotechnology company. Dr. Urdal received a B.S. and an M.S. in public health and a Ph.D. in biochemical oncology from the University of Washington.
