David L. Young joined Sumner Regional Health Systems, Inc., in January 1998 as chief information officer in charge of information systems, clinical information services, telecommunications, materials management, facility support and nutritional services. In January of 2004, he was promoted to his current role. Previously, Young served 12 years as the director of MIS/CIO for St. Mary�s Health Care System, Inc. Young is finishing up his MBA at Columbia Southern University. He has his CPHIMS national certification; he is also a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Young is a past deacon in his church, assistant scoutmaster, past board member of Sumner County CASA, past board member of Gallatin Chamber of Commerce, past board member of SMS Vision Users Group and has 12 years� membership in Rotary International where he has served as treasurer, secretary, vice president and is the current president.
