David L. Cahoon is Of Counsel with the firm of Linowes and Blocher LLP. As such, he participates with and advises members of all segments of the firm, particularly its litigation and administrative law elements. He became associated with Linowes and Blocher LLP in 1986 upon his retirement as Chief Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Maryland where he had presided as a trial judge since 1971, including ten years as administrative judge. Commencing in 1953, Judge Cahoon has actively been engaged in the practice of law, serving on or of counsel to numerous public bodies or agencies in appointive or elected positions, including the County Council for Montgomery County, 1958-1962; much of this activity involved formulation of development policies or regulation. He has participated as an arbitrator in litigation matters, and is a Land Commissioner of the U. S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
