David L. Mathus is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm�s New York office. David focuses his practice on corporate finance, in particular structured finance, private equity and venture capital transactions. He represents leading investment banks, international private equity and venture capital investors, and various private and public companies.
In addition to nearly 20 years of major firm corporate practice, David's experience includes serving as Special Counsel to the General Counsel of Kmart Corporation upon its emergence from bankruptcy, and serving on the boards of several information services and software companies.
David is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and Ohio. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. He received his B.A. from the College of William & Mary in 1981 and J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1984, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors.
