David M. Evatz is a Director in the Investment Banking Group. Mr. Evatz has extensive mergers and acquisitions experience having participated in numerous transactions with a collective value in excess of $10 billion. His expertise includes buy and sell-side assignments, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, shareholder rights plans, and fairness opinions across several industries, including health care, automotive, consumer, retail, and general industrials. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Evatz was a Vice President in the mergers and acquisitions group at Salomon Smith Barney. In this role, he participated in a wide variety of merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions, for both public and private companies. Representative transactions include General Motors $2.1 billion acquisition of Daewoo Motor, Discount Auto Parts $469 million sale to Advance Auto Parts, and First Health s $195 million acquisition of CCN Managed Care. Preceding his experience at Salomon Smith Barney, Mr. Evatz spent time in the corporate finance group at CIBC Wood Gundy and the investment banking group at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Evatz earned an MBA in Finance from Yale University, and a BS in Business Administration from Humboldt State University. |
