David Olivier started his career in corporate marketing with the Brunswick Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. In 1973, he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing of Brunswick's Sherwood Medical Group in St. Louis, Missouri. Sherwood was acquired by American Home Products Corporation (renamed Wyeth Corporation in 2002) in 1982. David was promoted to President of Sherwood's North American Division in 1984.
In 1986, David was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AHPC's international pharmaceutical division. He was appointed President of Wyeth-International in August 1988 and was elected to the Executive Committee of AHPC. In 1991, he was given the additional responsibility of AHPC's international consumer businesses. In 1996, David was elected Senior Vice-President of American Home Products Corporation with responsibility for worldwide consumer products and corporate advertising and promotion. He retired with 35 years of service.
Currently, David serves as Chairman of Alterna, LLC and is also a member on the Boards of Directors for Cenveo, Inc. (NYSE).
David earned his undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco in 1965, earned his MBA from the University of California at Berkeley in 1967, and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard in 1979. |
