Dave Laube is a well-known and respected veteran of the telecommunications industry, with 17 years of senior executive service at US WEST, the former Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC) that is now part of Qwest Communications where he was most recently Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), leading an organization of nearly 6000 people that was known for its cost effectiveness and customer service. Laube, who is a certified public accountant (CPA), held a number of leadership positions in technology and finance at the company, including vice president, controller, and treasurer of US WEST Communications, and CFO of Mountain Bell and US WEST Cellular. Appointed by Colorado Governor Bill Owens as a commissioner for the Colorado Commission on Science and Technology, he also presently serves on the board of directors for Carrier Access Corporation as well as advisory boards for the business schools of Seattle Pacific University and the University of Colorado at Denver. He is also a contributing author and co-editor of the book "Business Driven Information Technology: Answers to 100 Critical Questions for Every Manager" published by Stanford University Press in 2003. |
