Dave is a senior executive with a wide background in technology development and new product commercialization. Dave has held leadership positions in the aerospace, automotive, and battery industries over the past 27 years. His responsibilities have included managing organizations that range from small start up teams to worldwide R&D groups. He has worked with both private and government partners to develop new technologies and has led a team to build an electronics manufacturing line for the Navy. Dave has taken emerging technologies from the lab to fully developed products for the automotive, military and stored energy markets. Dave has a broad technical background that includes hybrid transportation technologies, high performance electronics and energy storage. Dave has worked with business partners in Europe, Asia, and the US and maintains a broad base of contacts around the world. Among his more recent positions, Dave held the position of Vice President for Wavecrest Laboratories where he directed their battery technologies subsidiary. Prior to Wavecrest, David's experience includes: Vice President of Emerging Technologies for Exide Corporation, directing their world wide R & D teams; Manager of Advanced Technologies at Chrysler Corporation, which included the successful transfer of a Dual Graphite battery program to a key Chrysler supplier; Previous Chairman of the of the Technical Advisory Committee for the USABC (United States Advanced Battery Consortium); and many years with Northrup Corporation leading product development teams. Dave holds both technical (BSME, 1980) and business (MBA, 1983) degrees from the University of Michigan. |
