Dr. Markle has 20+ years of experience developing fiber optic-based sensors for measuring blood parameters. Most recently, Dr. Markle was the chief architect of a continuous blood gas sensor capable of continuously measuring PO2, PCO2, pH and temperature in radial, femoral and umbilical arteries. Dr. Markle is a graduate of Duke University with Bachelor degrees in Civil and Biomedical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. |
