Widely regarded as fair and level-headed, Mr. Catuogno is consistently able to focus on the solution rather than the problem, thereby positioning the matter for a prompt and economically advantageous resolution for his client. Mr. Catuogno is a skilled consensus builder with unique ability to drive attention towards the "big picture", rather than having his client's resources diverted towards peripheral issues.
Mr. Catuogno spent the early part of his career concentrating in the representation of trustees and fiduciaries in litigation and general administrative matters. In that role, he was immersed in diverse and complex matters involving, among other things, auto dealerships, insurance sales and administration groups, medical practices and retail stores. In these cases, Mr. Catuogno facilitated the recovery of millions of dollars through continuing operations, the pursuit of avoidance claims and the sale of tangible and intangible assets.
Since joining Forman Holt Eliades & Ravin, Mr. Catuogno has continued representing trustees and fiduciaries, however, he increasingly has focused his practice on the representation of creditors, particularly in the hospitality industry regarding franchising and licensing issues. In this role, Mr. Catuogno has been admitted pro hac vice in more than a dozen federal jurisdictions, protecting the intellectual property and financial interests of his clients on a nationwide basis.
Mr. Catuogno is a former Master at the William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Inn of Court, and he has served as a lecturer and panelist on bankruptcy law and related topics at continuing legal education seminars.
