David Baser is a Managing Analyst in COMPASS�s Los Angeles office. Prior to joining COMPASS, David was a Consultant in FTI Consulting�s Transfer Pricing practice. While working with Transfer Pricing Services, David acted as principal staff economist on a number of life sciences engagements including audit defense, planning, and documentation studies. In addition to traditional transfer pricing, David helped clients respond to increasingly complex regulatory schemes and demands for rapid strategic analysis by constructing unique, automated tools to simplify complex modeling and data management needs, such as a push-button profit forecasting model and a cost allocation model.
Prior to FTI, David was a manager at the University of Southern California�s Housing department, where he founded the Housing Technology Program. His experience included all levels of program management as well as responsibility for upgrading and improving Housing�s maintenance databases. David received both B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from the University of Southern California, where he focused his studies in economic history and global development. He completed a thesis entitled The Impact of General Purpose Technologies on Kondratieff Waves. |
