Dave Beckman is a senior managing director in FTI�s Corporate Finance practice and is based in Denver. Mr. Beckman has 23 years of business and consulting experience. He has significant expertise in working with the management and the creditors of financially distressed companies.
Over the past 19 years, Mr. Beckman has assisted lenders, creditors� committees and debtors in analyzing and developing plans of reorganization; selling and/or liquidating business units and assets; raising debt and evaluating debt instruments and structures; preparing and analyzing financial forecasts; and executing other financial based transactions and analyses. He has been involved in numerous transactions including asset sales, corporate restructurings, asset securitizations, and raising debt and equity financings. Mr. Beckman has served as financial advisor to banks, bondholders, unsecured creditors and investment firms as well as companies in the financial services, mining, mortgage lending, and wholesale industries.
Mr. Beckman�s experience includes currently serving as the liquidating trustee of the $100+ million estate of Oren L. Benton, et al., which includes disposition of mining properties, professional sport franchises, and others. He has also represented interest holders in the large financial services restructurings such as Finova and Southmark and international mining restructurings such as Grupo Mexico. In addition, Mr. Beckman has significant experience in providing expert witness testimony related to asset dispositions, appropriate interest rates, collection actions and claims settlements.
Prior to joining FTI in 2002, Mr. Beckman was a partner in the U.S. division of PricewaterhouseCoopers� Business Recovery Services practice. Mr. Beckman joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1985 and became a partner in 1995.
Mr. Beckman holds a B.S. in chemical and petroleum refining engineering and an M.S., A.B.T. in mineral economics from the Colorado School of Mines. |
