Dave re-joined D.W. Simpson Global Actuarial Recruitment in March of 2007 as Director Retained Search Services after five years in an actuarial recruiting capacity for an insurance company and consulting firm. In his new role with D.W. Simpson, Dave will lead the recruiting and client management processes for all of D.W. Simpson�s retained searches/clients. Dave originally joined D.W. Simpson in April of 1996 as a recruiter. He spent six years with D.W. Simpson recruiting actuaries at all levels and within all disciplines, i.e. life, health, property & casualty, pension and non-traditional roles. In addition, Dave played a key role in managing and building relationships with many of the D.W. Simpson clients. In March of 2002, Dave joined CNA in Chicago as a Recruiting Consultant specializing in actuarial hires. After three years with CNA, Dave joined Ernst & Young as its Experienced Hire Recruiter for the Life & Health and Property & Casualty National Actuarial Practice. Prior to the recruiting profession, Dave worked for three years as a Personal and Commercial Account Manager with The First National Bank of Chicago. He also worked in business development with the bank and served as Training Coordinator for the Hancock Center Branch. Dave earned a bachelor�s degree in Communications in 1992 from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. he also earned a minor in Psychology. Dave�s article, Get Your Offers Accepted, was published in the Actuary of the Future. Outside the office, Dave enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. |
