David Boylan is vice president and general manager of WPLG-TV in Miami. Prior to joining Post-Newsweek Stations in June 2003, he was vice president and general manager of News Corp.'s duopoly in Los Angeles, KTTV (Fox 11) and KCOP (UPN 13) and Fox Sports Net West 1 & 2 for three years.
Boylan came to Los Angeles from the Fox-owned station in Tampa, FL, (WTVT), where he was vice president and general manager for four years. Prior to Tampa, he was vice president and general manager of the Fox-owned station in Greensboro, NC, for ten years. He held several positions with the NBC-owned station in Cleveland from 1981-1986 - station manager, general sales manager, national sales manager, and local sales manager. He began his television career in sales with NBC in Chicago in 1976.
Boylan graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in broadcasting. He and his wife Sherry have three children.
