David Downing has more than 20 years experience in technology marketing and communications, specializing in brand building, sales force readiness and market development for enterprise software companies. As the Vice President of Marketing at Informatica, Downing was a key member of the management team that grew the company into a worldwide leader in the business intelligence market and executed that company's successful IPO in 1999. He has also held a variety of other senior management positions in both large public companies and early-stage start-ups, including Oracle, Adobe, AlterEgo Networks, InQuira, and Hill and Knowlton. Prior to joining MetaLINCS, Downing was Director of Corporate Marketing and Industry Relations at SAP where he created and managed a range of programs and sponsorships designed to strengthen the company's Silicon Valley relationships with ISV's, academia, the venture community, and state and local government groups. Downing holds a BS degree from Boston University. |
