TeamHealth Southeast is seeking a full-time, night physician who is board certified/board prepared in emergency medicine (ABMS, AOA, or AAPS accepted) or board certified in a primary care specialty (ABMS and AOA accepted) with significant experience in a high-volume emergency department. Candidates must become board certified within five years of eligibility.
Manatee Memorial Hospital has recently completed a $3.5-million expansion of their 33-bed emergency department, which has an annual patient volume of 62,000 and high acuity. The emergency department provides 50 hours of physician coverage daily (8-, 9- and 12-hour shifts), as well as 36 hours of mid-level provider coverage a day, full specialty backup, and a separate Fast Track staffed by primary care physicians. This is a Level II trauma center, and emergency physicians initiate admit orders. In the annual Readers' Preference Poll taken by the Bradenton Herald, Manatee Memorial Hospital has been voted "Best Hospital" nine years in a row. This 491-bed acute care facility has been serving Manatee County for 50 years. The hospital is proud to be among the five percent of hospitals surveyed that have received JCAHO's "Gold Seal of Approval" with a score of 98. |
