David Gregory retired from twenty-four years of service with the City of Unalaska's Department of Public Safety Fire Department in August 2003. OC is fortunate that Dave was looking for something completely new for his post-Fire Chief days, and we hired him in August. Since December 2002, the duties of this position were being performed by other office staff and various profession independent contractors. As the Operations Manager, Dave performs operations and maintenance duties of a supervisory nature for the Ounalashka Corporation. As the Engineering Technical Assistant, Dave serves as liaison with local, state and federal regulatory officials, and assists the Special Projects Administrator and/or the Chief Executive Officer with Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and land development issues. Among many other duties, the ETA assists in researching and cataloging OC's land, facilities and natural resource holdings, performs research verifying legal descriptions, titles and ownership, maintains and updates files of plats and real property drawings, prepares exhibits for leases, and prepares preliminary drawings and specs for capital improvements, subdivisions and special projects. |
