Dr. David Hyde is Lead Hospitalist (hospital-based physician), working with Dr. Larry Labul, Dr. Brian Clements, Dr. Peter Cordner, Joel Dunn, PA-C, and Simon-Peter Shaffer, PA-C, in staffing Franklin Memorial�s hospitalist service.
His patients will include those who are admitted without a physician, or whose physician does not admit patients to the Hospital. This could be because their doctor lives in an outlying area, or because the physician may have an office-based practice only.
Schooling
Dr. Hyde received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Biddeford, ME.Before attending medical school, Dr. Hyde did graduate-level work in Exercise Physiology and Sports Medicine at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He received his bachelor�s degree in Exercise Physiology from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Hyde completed his residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Dr. Hyde�s professional interests include inpatient care, cardiology, and pulmonary critical care.Dr. Hyde is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians-Internal Medicine, Society of Hospital Medicine, and American Osteopathic Association.
Personal Interest
Dr. Hyde and his wife Betsey are the parents of three young sons.The family enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking, canoeing, and camping. |
