David Jewell joined Pivotal Energy Development in August 2004. As a consultant for Pivotal�s parent company for the previous two years, he was involved in developing the AGL Resources business development unit that evolved into Pivotal in 2004 and has been engaged in most of the projects developed by Pivotal.
With more than 20 years experience focused on daily operations, Jewell is skilled at extracting commercial value from assets. During his career, he has been involved with projects ranging from development of pipeline resources and acquisition of storage facilities to implementing account management programs.
Before becoming a consultant, Jewell was a senior vice president with Caminus Corporation/Altra Energy Technologies in Houston, where he managed the merger of Caminus and Altra software businesses. At Duke Energy in Houston for almost 20 years, Jewell had a broad set of responsibilities leading the startup of a corporate marketing group managing gas control and daily pipeline business operations.
Jewell received a bachelor�s degree in business from Graceland College in Iowa. He earned a master�s of business administration from the University of Missouri and attended the Executive Marketing Program at Stanford University. He was named to the Top 50 People in Energy IT by New Energy Economy magazine in 2001 and has published several articles on energy technology in industry magazines.
He and his wife, Karen Jewell, an attorney who is a partner in a Houston business litigation firm, have two sons, Gabe and Zach. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America and coaches basketball. |
