David Kahan is JumpTap's General Counsel. Prior to joining JumpTap, Mr. Kahan had more than ten years experience as a senior executive, primarily with marketing oriented start-ups. Immediately before JumpTap, Mr. Kahan served in a variety of roles -- including General Counsel, VP of Business Development, and VP of Partner Relations -- at DirectoryM, a company that works with publishers to develop local advertising. Earlier, he was VP of Business Development for Zooba.com, a direct marketing company that was acquired by Bertelsmann. Previously, Mr. Kahan was chief Operating Officer at Athena Design, Inc., an object-oriented software start-up. Mr. Kahan also was Director of Strategic Planning and Projects at Malden Mills, the makers of Polartec�. Prior to assuming business leadership roles, Mr. Kahan spent 5 years practicing law with the Boston firm of Foley, Hoag & Eliot, and spent 4 years working on Capitol Hill focusing on tax and budget policy. Mr. Kahan holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was awarded the Potter Stewart Prize for best overall Moot Court performance. His B.A. is from Columbia College where he majored in Political Science, concentrated in Computer Science, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. |
