Academy Award winner and a two-time Grammy Award winner, Ric Wake is recognized as one of the top music producers in the world. Mr Wake is the founder of Wake Production Inc., Notation Publishing, Inc., Covecity Studios, and DV8 Entertainment, collectively called Wake Enterprise. Mr Wake has produced albums that have collectively sold over 300 million copies. Among the artistes Mr Wake has worked with are Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Anastacia, Marc Anthony, Mariah Carey, Dixie Chicks, Taylor Dayne and Jessica Simpson. These projects have collectively sold 110 million albums and generated over $1.2 billion in sales. Mr Wake has also produced half of the songs on Mariah Carey's critically acclaimed self-titled debut album that sold over 10 million copies. He also worked on the production of actress/singer Jennifer Lopez's debut album �On the 6� that also had the "hit single Waiting For Tonight". The album earned a Grammy nomination. Her follow-up album �J.Lo�, containing the single "Love Don't Cost A Thing", produced by Wake, entered the charts at #1 in sixteen countries. Mr Wake has also co-produced nine of Celine Dion's albums which have collectively sold over 100 million copies. In 1996, he earned a Grammy for �Album of the Year� for his production work on Dion�s multi-platinum album �Falling Into You�. During his tenure at Epic Records, Mr Wake brought the project " Chicago : The Musical" to the company. The album sold over 5 million copies. It earned him his second Grammy for "Best Compilation Soundtrack Album." He produced the two singles (Go West's "I'm The King Of Wishful Thinking" and Natalie Cole's "Wild Women Do") from the �Pretty Woman� Soundtrack, which went on to sell 15 million copies. In 1998, Mr Wake was honored by N.A.R.A.S. as �Producer of the Year� in recognition of his production work and his impact on the industry. |
