David and his family were seed investors in Broadcom Corp., Innovent Systems (acquired by Broadcom) and Access360 (acquired by IBM), among others. In 1989, Upon completion of his degree, he became part of the research staff at the University of Toronto Department of Biophysics, focusing on molecular simulations. David moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to pursue venture capital activities on behalf of his family. David and his family are focused on early-stage technology companies based in Southern California. They have co-invested with several established venture capital firms, including Crosspoint Venture Partners, SunAmerica Ventures, Smart Technology Ventures and Constellation Ventures (division of Bear Sterns).
