David Montgomery concentrates on real estate transactions and development. He has worked on transactions with developers all across the country on a wide range of projects, including apartments, retail, industrial, resorts, hospitality, restaurants, senior living facilities, a foreign embassy, and correctional facilities. In a project involving $150 million worth of restaurant properties nationwide, Mr. Montgomery negotiated purchase agreements and/or ground leases, performed and resolved intensive due diligence, negotiated construction contracts, closed transactions, and provided ancillary services during the construction period. In another case, he represented the developer of a $65 million coastal resort in Texas. His responsibilities included negotiation and closing of purchases and leases on raw land, performance and resolution of due diligence, obtaining coastal development permits from local, state, and federal authorities, negotiation of construction contracts and retail leases, and acquisition of amusement rides, in addition to providing general legal services for resort management.
