David Moore advises primarily on finance, strategy and industry development. His particular interest is economic and business innovation and transformation.
David has given expert testimony and expert comment on efficiency, regulation, complex contracting and valuation issues in diverse sectors, including health, biotechnology, fishing and biosecurity. He has extensive pharmaceutical and litigation experience.
David heads the health-sector industry group for LECG Asia-Pacific. He has held a number of senior positions in the New Zealand health sector since 1992, including founding and managing the New Zealand government�s drug purchasing agency (for which he continues as a Director); Regional Director of the organisation that funded all health services for the lower half the North Island; and General Manager, Personal Health of the organisation that managed New Zealand�s aged care, public hospitals and other personal health services ($NZ6 billion budget). His prior experience includes a range of strategic, policy and corporate advisory positions for the New Zealand Treasury, an investment bank and a London-based management consulting group.
David holds a Master of Commerce from the University of Auckland and a Diploma of Health Economics from the University of Tromso. He is a Research Associate with the Health Research Centre of Victoria University, a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Directors. |
