David Moore, Director
Mr. Moore is a resident of San Diego, California and has almost ten years of experience analyzing and investing in banks and thrifts in various professional capacities, including hedge fund analyst, sell-side research analyst, merchant banker and investment banker.
Mr. Moore is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has researched and analyzed hundreds of small financial institutions. Mr. Moore is the author of the recently-published book Analyzing and Investing in Community Bank Stocks.
Mr. Moore is the President of Marathon Capital Holdings which serves as the General Partner for Marathon Financial Ventures I, L.P. a private equity fund that invests primarily in small banks. Prior to his involvement with Embarcadero Bank, Mr. Moore spent over four years with Castle Creek Capital, LLC, a San Diego-based private equity/merchant banking firm that specializes in investments in the bank and thrift industries. Mr. Moore holds an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the College of William and Mary, a Graduate Diploma in Banking from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and a BS (Phi Kappa Phi, Magna Cum Laude) from Virginia Commonwealth University.
