David was previously an Associate Professor, Dept of Computer Science, at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is now President and Chief Executive Officer of Starthis. David received a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford (1980). He received MS (1984) and PhD (1988) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and joined the UIC faculty in 1988. At UIC his activities included: software development for remote control of collections of electronics test equipment, software design using leading edge tools, operator interface design, and the development of instructional and training materials, and over 20 years of experience in: assessing the impact of hardware and software evolution, managing teams of technologists, and creating dynamic working environments that foster innovation. |
