David Orlofsky has over 14 years of diversified business experience, providing both interim management and advisory services to a variety of clients. He is part of an interim management team leading the restructuring of Collins & Aikman, a $4 billion automobile supplier, serving as an Associate Director of Restructuring. At Collins & Aikman, David was responsible for leading negotiations with major customers which resulted in over $500 million of pricing and liquidity improvements. He has also been one of the key individuals leading the process to close unprofitable plants, re-negotiate equipment leases and sell groups of assets.
Professional Experience
Previously David held the dual position of CFO and COO at Malden Mills, a U.S.-based textile company with operations in Europe and Asia, best known as the creators of Polartec� brand fleece. At Malden Mills David was responsible for managing operations, finance, sales and marketing and its international divisions. He was one of the key executives who led the successful restructuring of the company through a variety of turnaround efforts including strategic cost reductions, growth initiatives and the establishment of a sales and supply organization in China.
David has been with Kroll Zolfo Cooper for eight years. Previously, he provided advice and assistance in the restructurings of Washington Group, Recoton, American Home Patient, and Frederick�s of Hollywood. Before joining Kroll Zolfo Cooper he was an audit manager at Arthur Andersen.
