David A. Skoog brings more than 18 years experience in all facets of electronic media technology. Prior to his becoming a consultant he worked extensively in the area of presentation system implementation including the integration of advanced audio, video, and control system technologies into highly designed and specialized architectural environments. David�s background also includes numerous years as a sound and theatrical lighting designer for performance theatre, most notably on an international level as technical director and production manager. Experience includes designing and implementing technological solutions to satisfy the needs and requirements of over 60 federal courthouses nationwide. He has an extensive and diverse background in the development of technical systems for presentation. As a Senior Consultant he interfaces with clients to the implement technical solutions that fit their specific needs. This includes programming and schematic development as well as system design and site management during the technology integration phase. Skoog is considered to be a national expert in the area of design for integrated video conferencing systems used by national and international corporations as well as numerous federal courts from Maine to California. Most recently, David has been involved in the research of advancing technologies. Coupled with his previous experience, he brings a solid background for the design and specification of state of the art technology systems, integral to building systems, as well as a vision for future advances in this field. David�s recent background also includes independent consulting as well as serving as technical liaison to audiovisual consultants, colleges and universities throughout 14 western states and western Canada for a major manufacturer of remote control and automation technologies. David studied Mass Communications with a specialization in Audio/Video Production at North Central University. He is a frequent presenter at conferences that include the International Communications Industries Association Conference, the Bar Association for the Central and Southern Federal Districts of Illinois, and the American Inns of Court Jackson. He is a member of the Council on Independent Consultants in Audiovisual Technologies (ICAT), and the Audio Engineering Society, and InfoComm International, who has credentialed him as a Certified Technology Specialist. |
