Why @ eBags: I moved here from Portland in March of 2000 in search of sunshine and great outdoor recreational opportunities. Of the 4 or 5 job offers eBags stood out because of the high energy, growth potential, and relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I knew it would be exciting/challenging to work for a start-up in rapid expansion.
Favorite Childhood Trip: My Dad is a fanatical fisherman so most of my childhood "vacations" were spent at a lake or river in the wide-open plains and mountains of Montana. Campfires, games, hiking, and swimming often were more entertaining than fishing especially on the weekends we couldn't catch a thing. Quality family time and lasting memories make these trips stand out.
Favorite City: Cannon Beach, Oregon. I've only been there 4 times (all in the last 18 months) but I've never been anywhere that puts me more at peace. It's where I saw the ocean and much of its life for the first time. A quiet town full of specialty shops and distinctive restaurants gives it a unique flavor. Also, my girlfriend's family owns a nice, cozy cabin there which makes the trip very inexpensive and all the more enjoyable. |
