David Southwell a Director since July 2006 is Chairman of the Bell Canada 2010 Vancouver Olympics Technology Board which is responsible for overseeing technology implementation and operations for the Games. His current position follows 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry primarily with Bell Canada the largest telecom company in Canada. He carries in-depth knowledge and experience in operations and telecom technology in both wireless and wireline. Following numerous senior officer positions at Bell Canada Southwell retired last year as the Group President of Operations. In that capacity Southwell was responsible for customer and network operations plus fleet and real estate during a time of integration and personnel reductions.
In addition to serving on the ACS and Olympics Technology boards Southwell has previously served on numerous others including six years with Expertech Network Installation Inc. most recently as Chairman. |
