David Wand is an operational executive with over 20 years of experience in all facets of the manufacturing industry, including lean manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, distribution, international logistics and information technology. David has a keen ability to quickly identify operational inefficiencies and implement strategies to improve facility profitability.
David has a demonstrated success in leading operational change and process improvements, as well as managing lean manufacturing project teams to complete business objectives on time and within budget. He has served in a variety of consulting roles where his responsibilities included the promotion of reengineering and process improvement projects and managing plant start-ups and turnarounds.
Prior to joining FOCUS Management Group, David served as the VP of Worldwide Supply Chain to a leading consumer products manufacturer, where he was responsible for the entirety of its supply chain operations. During his tenure, David led the implementation of an integrated SAP ERP system, achieved significant cost savings in logistics expenses and warehousing and dramatically improved international supplier relationships.
In another prior role, David served as the Director of Manufacturing Supply Chain & IT of a manufacturing firm's plant located in Asia, where he drove revenue growth and integrated its manufacturing, warehousing and supply chain operations.
David was awarded his MBA from Florida Atlantic University and his Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Maryland. He is APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management and holds a Six Sigma Champion Certification.
