Yao has extensive high-tech semiconductor sales and product management expertise. He joins SiBEAM from Silicon Image, where he was Vice President of Field Sales for the Asia Pacific and North America regions. His experience in leading worldwide sales initiatives, identifying and developing new growth opportunities, and strong track record in achieving sales results will be invaluable for SiBEAM's success. As Vice President for Sales, Yao is responsible for all sales activity in the Asia Pacific region which includes the opening of new sales offices in Asia and the growth and management of the Asia Pacific sales team and SiBEAM distributors. Prior to joining Silicon Image, Yao was the director of sales in Japan for Trident Microsystems where he managed all OEM sales activities for major clients including Sony, NEC and IBM. Before Trident, Yao served as product marketing manager for the Graphics Chipset Division at Intel Corp. where he led product road-map developments and formulated product strategies for its mobile products. Yao holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University and speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
