Dawn Becker is Executive Vice President - General Counsel and Secretary for Federal Realty Investment Trust. In this capacity she is responsible for overseeing all legal work and due diligence relating to the Trust's acquisitions dispositions developments public and private debt and equity financings and other corporate transactions. In addition Ms. Becker is responsible for securities and other legal compliance insurance and risk management matters as well as for management of the Trust's joint venture relationship with Clarion Lion Properties Fund. Ms. Becker also advises the Trust's Board on corporate governance issues and serves as a member of the Trust's Investment Committee. Ms. Becker joined Federal Realty in 1997 and was promoted to General Counsel in 2002.
Prior to joining the Trust Ms. Becker practiced law in the real estate and creditor's rights areas at Shaw Pittman (now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) and Andrews & Kurth where she was of counsel.
Ms. Becker received her law degree from Stanford University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in economics from Bucknell University. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania bars and various other professional associations including the Association of Corporate Counsel the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. |
