Mr. Metropoulos will be joining J.W. Childs in 2006 as Deputy Chairman. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Foods, a J.W. Childs portfolio company. In 1993, Mr. Metropoulos founded C. Dean Metropoulos & Company, a boutique acquisition and management firm that has successfully applied a buy-build strategy to transform a number of struggling food businesses into thriving enterprises. For the past 15 years Mr. Metropoulos has been an investor in, and Chairman/CEO of, Stella Foods, Morningstar, International Home Foods, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Pennant Foods, Mumm and Perrier Jouet Champagnes, Premier International Foods and Pinnacle Foods. He also served as Chairman of Katina Foods. Mr. Metropoulos previously worked with Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and J.P. Morgan Partners. Mr. Metropoulos began his business career with GTE Corporation where he lived and worked in Paris, Brussels and Geneva for seven years before returning to the U.S. as Senior Vice President at GTE International. At the age of 30, he was the youngest corporate officer in GTE history. Mr. Metropoulos received a B.A. and a M.B.A. from Babson College. |
