As COO, Dean Daniels is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Seed Media Group.
Dean joins Seed from Gartner, Inc. where he was most recently Senior Vice President of Worldwide Research leading more than 1,200 research associates responsible for more than $500 million in annual revenue across 49 countries.
Prior to Gartner, Dean was President and COO of theglobe.com, a pioneering internet provider of digital community building tools for consumers and private-label tools for other internet publishers. Responsibilities included management and leadership of all operations, marketing and sales including more than 250 employees in 10 US cities and the UK. While at theglobe.com he was also Publisher of Computer Games Magazine, a world-leading consumer publication in the PC gaming industry with paid circulation of more than 400,000.
For 14 years before that Dean held a number of increasingly important production and management positions at CBS Television where he started and was the Vice President and General Manager of CBS New Media. There he participated in putting together the deals that would yield CBSSportsline.com and CBSmarketwatch.com. Dean was also Director, Interactive Services for CBS News and Director of News at WCBS-TV in New York where he oversaw management and production of all newscasts and during which time he received four Emmy Awards for outstanding news coverage.
Dean majored in communications at Bethany College and currently resides with his family in New Rochelle, NY. |
