Deborah is an Of Counsel attorney with Coats Rose and has practiced commercial real estate law in Texas for more than twenty-five years. She began her real estate legal career in 1980 with DeLange, Hudspeth, Pitman and Katz, and in 1987 became the first woman partner in that firm's seventy-five year history. She joined Coats Rose in 1999, after serving as Regulatory Counsel for Mellon Mortgage Company, a subsidiary of Mellon Bank.
Deborah is a valued member of the Coats Rose team and has served on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Section of the Houston Bar Association (2002 - 2004). She has also been recognized as a "Texas Super Lawyer" in the area of Real Estate and is "AV" rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Deborah became Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1990.
