Deborah Day graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor�s degree in art history and a Master�s degree in early childhood education. After teaching and volunteering in church, school and recreational organizations in Alberta, Canada, Debbie and her husband, T.J., returned to Reno in 1978. She continued teaching until joining the Reno Gazette-Journal for three years as a graphic artist. Involved with various local organizations, Deborah served on the board of trustees for Saint Mary�s Foundation for four years and served as chairperson of the Saint Mary�s Gala for two years. She has been active with the Junior League of Reno for more than ten years, holding positions on the board of directors and executive committee. She has also served on the board of directors for the Sierra Arts Foundation and has worked closely with the Nevada Museum of Art, as well as the Reno Philharmonic Association. Debbie and T.J. Day have also chaired local fundraisers for various organizations including the National Judicial College and the Nevada Museum of Art. In addition, she is an accomplished equestrian. |
