Deborah K. Mayer, PhD, RN, AOCN, FAAN, Vice-Chair, MediMedia Oncology Advisory Board is an advanced practice oncology nurse who has consulted with organizations on issues to improve cancer care and has over 30 years of cancer nursing practice, education, and management experience. She has published over 80 chapters and articles and lectures internationally on oncology and oncology nursing. She is past president of the Oncology Nursing Society, was a member of the National Cancer Institute�s National Cancer Advisory Board and Board of Scientific Advisors and is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. She earned a MSN from Yale University School of Nursing and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Utah. Ms. Mayer was the Chief Medical Officer of CancerSource from 2000 to 2003. She is currently the Program Manager of the Center on Child and Family Outcomes at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. |
