Deborah Fox was named Corporate Vice President and General Counsel of Apogen Technologies in March 2004. Ms. Fox brings more than 20 years of legal experience to her position as General Counsel.
Before joining Apogen, Ms. Fox held the position of General Counsel at a federal information technology services company, BTG, Inc. While at BTG, she was responsible for all legal actions of the company, including providing legal guidance to officers, directors, and employees on corporate, labor, tax, and securities matters. Ms. Fox also managed all corporate litigation and supervised the development of corporate policies. She served as the Chief Ethics Officer, developing a corporate ethics program that trained over 1,700 employees.
While at BTG, Ms. Fox was also responsible for BTG�s acquisitions, investments, and divestitures. In this role, she negotiated the terms and conditions of nine acquisitions. Ms. Fox directed BTG�s successful IPO in 1994, as well as a successful follow-on offering a year later, overseeing the legal team to raise over $40 million in new equity funding. She also oversaw the sale of BTG to Titan Corporation.
Prior to her role as General Counsel at BTG, Ms. Fox was an Associate at Dunnells, Duvall, Bennett & Porter and Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll.
Ms. Fox received a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College (cum laude) and her Juris Doctor from the Columbia University School of Law in 1982. She received her Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986. |
