Ms. Friedman joined Apex Silver in July 2007 and has an extensive background in the mining industry. For 16 years she served in various positions in the law departments of Cyprus Amax Minerals and AMAX Gold including General Counsel and Associate General Counsel at Cyprus Amax and General Counsel at AMAX Gold. In private practice Ms. Friedman represented major mid-tier and junior mining companies involving commercial export credit and project financing transactions within and outside the United States. Additionally she counseled clients on securities compliance Sarbanes-Oxley and corporate governance matters.
Ms. Friedman holds a B.A. from the University of Illinois and J.D. from the University of Michigan.
