Deborah Lange, a well-respected and active tax executive, led Oracle's worldwide tax department from 1987 - 2006. In the role of Senior Vice President Tax and Customs, Ms. Lange was responsible for managing Oracle's worldwide tax and customs functions including all aspects of tax compliance, audits, tax policies and procedures, and tax accounting. Prior to joining Oracle, she was with Arthur Andersen serving multi-national corporations in London, Hong Kong, Oregon, and California.
Ms. Lange is currently chair of the Silicon Valley's Tax Directors Group and a board member of the Software Tax and Finance Executives Council. Some of her past contributions include being a member of the American Electronic Association Committee on Federal Taxation (Past Chair), a member of the San Jose State Tax Advisory Board, a member of the Tax Committee of the US Business Council, a member of the Executive Committee of the Tax Executives Institute (2003-2004), Past-President of the Santa Clara Chapter of the Tax Executive Institute, Past Chair of the Tax Executives Institute National Awards Committee, and a past board member of the Tax Foundation Program Committee. Ms. Lange graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (England) in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree (with Honors) and from the University of Birmingham (England) in 1979 with a Masters of Science Degree. Ms. Lange is a Certified Public Accountant.
