Deborah Shute is the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Interphase Corporation. Since 1999 she has been responsible for the company's worldwide Human Resources function including workforce planning and organizational design compensation and benefits programs employee relations recognition and morale initiatives training and development and safety. Shute brings nearly 20 years of HR generalist experience within both the telecommunications and computer industries. Prior to joining Interphase in January 1999 Shute was Sr. Director of Human Resources for Packard Bell NEC and had responsibilities for more than 4 000 employees. During her tenure Shute held senior positions in employee relations and staffing contributing to the rapid ramp up of a new facility and assisting managing HR through two company acquisitions in less than six months. She was eventually responsible for key downsizing initiatives at the company during the consolidation of the PC market in late 90's.
From 1987-1994 Shute was the head of Human Resources for Proctor & Associates a designer and manufacturer of E-911 equipment for the telecommunications industry in Redmond WA. She was also Branch Manager from 1984-1987 with Staff Resources Inc. an HR consulting/employee leasing firm in Northern California where she was responsible for growing the business as well as for all HR-related functions for client companies.
Shute received her B.S. in Business Administration concentrating in Human Resources Management from California State University Sacramento and her A.A. in General Business from American River College in Sacramento. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) the Dallas HR Association and sits on the Texas Council HR Committee for the American Electronics Association.
