Debra London was promoted to senior vice president, CHP, and president and chief executive officer, St. Mary's Health Partners, in February 2001, and she also became president and chief executive officer of Mercy Health Partners (Kentucky Region) in March 2005. Prior to February 2001, she had been St. Mary's executive vice president and chief operating officer and had served St. Mary's since 1992. Before joining CHP and St. Mary's, Ms. London served for eight years as senior vice president, Operations, for South Miami Health System.
Ms. London has earned a reputation as an excellent communicator who can envision balanced and pragmatic solutions. She was instrumental in promoting partnerships with St. Mary's, as well as in earning high levels of patient satisfaction and providing innovative services to the community.
Ms. London earned a bachelor's of science degree in nursing and a master's of science degree both in nursing and rehabilitation counseling from East Carolina University and a master's of business administration from Barry University. She became a Diplomate in the American College of Healthcare Executives in 1994.
She has served or currently serves on the board of directors for the City Ballet, American Heart Association, United Way, Boys & Girls Club, Girl Scouts of America and Junior Achievement. She is a member of the Knox Area Hospital Council, East Tennessee Health Care Executives Association, Healthcare Roundtable, Executive Women's Association and Leadership Knoxville. |
