Clients frequently comment that Debra�s knowledge of their business makes her an important partner in their business growth and development.Debra is certified in Minnesota as a Real Property Law Specialist and, in her real estate practice, she represents buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, and developers and lenders in the course of development, financing, leasing, purchases and sales of commercial and industrial sites, including multi-tenant and multi-use properties. She has particular expertise in the development and leasing of retail shopping centers.In her general business practice, Debra represents management and minority shareholders, as well as sellers, purchasers and investors, on a variety of corporate governance, financing and corporate restructuring transactions. In this capacity, she serves as outside general counsel and provides general business advice to officers, directors and senior management on a variety of contract, licensing, business planning and other legal matters.Debra�s client experience encompasses the retail, manufacturing, software, construction, product distribution, hospitality, construction, petroleum distribution, and food processing industries. Debra uses this breadth of experience to provide her clients with a comprehensive and broad outlook on their business concerns. She serves on the board of directors of Cathedral of the Pines Camp; has been a mentor with Mentium 100, a program for women executives; is a past member of the board and past secretary of the Playwright Center; teaches in adult-education ministries at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church; and has been an adjunct faculty member of the University of Minnesota Law School. |
