Deb Miller is senior vice president communications and community affairs. She joined the company and was elected an officer in 2003.
Ms. Miller is responsible for worldwide communications for Timken. She directs a staff that manages Timken messaging with the customers, media, associates and shareholders. She oversees reputation management, financial communications, brand strategy, corporate events, creative services and design, the corporate Web site and the company�s global intranet, including a daily newspaper available in nine languages. As president of The Timken Company Charitable Trust, Ms. Miller also has responsibility for directing Timken�s global citizenship strategy and programs.
Prior to joining Timken, Ms. Miller most recently served as vice president of corporate communications and investor relations at Armstrong World Industries. She also was president of the Armstrong Foundation. She has worked at Cummins Engine Company, where she held roles in international marketing and investor relations before leading the corporate and marketing communications function.
Ms. Miller is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society and is currently a member of the Society�s finance committee. Ms. Miller is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. She serves as a board member of The Timken Company Educational Fund, Inc. She is a member of the Stark County Advisory Committee of the National Overture of Education and the Arts in Ohio. She is active in the United Way, the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) and other community activities.
Ms. Miller earned a master�s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton and a bachelor�s degree in management from Purdue University. She also is a certified public accountant. |
