Denis C. Mitchell focuses his practice on representing people injured by the misconduct of hospitals, healthcare providers, trucking companies, pharmaceutical companies and others. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Mitchell also teaches trial advocacy as an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Mitchell is fluent in Spanish, having spent a year teaching and studying in the Economics Department at the University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain.
Mr. Mitchell is on the Board of Governors and Education Committee of the District of Columbia Trial Lawyers Association. He is on the Publications and Amicus Committees for the Maryland Association for Justice. He received his J.D. in 2000 from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Maryland Law Review and is a member of the Order of the Coif. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia.
Prior to joining Stein, Mitchell and Muse, he was a litigation associate at Piper Rudnick, LLP (now DLA Piper) in Baltimore, Maryland, where he litigated patent and trademark cases and commercial disputes. |
