Prior to joining Brookfield in November 2006, Denis was Senior Vice President, Investor Relations, Communications and Public Affairs of international mining company Falconbridge Limited (and its predecessor Noranda Inc.) for seven years. Denis was also Vice President, Communications and Government Relations for Domtar Inc.,
