Denis Ouellet is a member of the management team of West Monroe Partners and is the Canadian practice leader for supply chain planning. He specializes in supply chain planning, demand planning, manufacturing strategy, process improvement, and technology solutions.

Denis is a professional engineer with 18 years of experience in operations management and implementation of manufacturing, information technology, and management information systems in enterprises of all sizes. He has deep knowledge and hands-on experience in logistics, demand planning, order fulfillment, production operations, production planning and scheduling, business process reengineering, and information technology. He excels in the utilization of technology, methods, procedures, and information software to solve complex business problems.
Denis has managed several strategy and optimization projects for small, medium, and large manufacturing and distribution companies in Canada and the United States. His customers include one of the world�s largest cabling companies, one of Canada�s largest printing companies, and one of North America�s largest entertainment organizations. Altogether, Denis has managed more than 20 successful enterprise resource planning and advanced planning and scheduling (ERP/APS) selection and implementation projects, shop-floor data collection projects, and technology projects in the last 15 years.
He has developed strong expertise in key market sectors, including plastics, metal processing and machining, cabling, high-tech, printing and packaging, food, and industrial equipment.
Prior to joining West Monroe Partners, Denis ran his own consulting firm for four years in Canada, where he was involved in many strategy, ERP and APS projects. He established several partnerships with software vendors and other consulting firms in order to deliver on projects won over the years. Prior to creating his own firm, Denis enjoyed a very successful career as a senior manager in industry for 13 years. He worked as production engineer, new products introduction manager, production manager, director of logistics, and senior director of operations in the high-tech manufacturing industry for 11 years for worldwide leaders such as Matrox Electronics Systems and Kontron Industrial Computers. He also was North American director of IT for a $500 million division of one of the world�s largest chocolate manufacturers, Barry Callebaut.
Denis earned a Bachelor of Technology degree with specialization in computer systems from the Ecole de Technologie Superieure in Montreal. He also holds a certificate in production and operations management from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales of Montreal (HEC). He also has completed specialized training in the areas of strategic accounting, Lean manufacturing Six Sigma, and supply chain management. He is a member of the Quebec�s Engineer Professional Association (OIQ) and the American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS). |
