Denise M. Day is a partner with Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers LLP and is a member of the Firm's Real Estate and Finance Department. Before joining the firm, Ms. Day was affiliated with a national banking institution, specializing in construction and permanent real estate financing, as well as special assets workouts.
Since joining the firm in 1991, Ms. Day's practice has been focused on representing local and national developers and investors in the acquisition, development, financing, repositioning and disposition of various types of real estate assets, including office, apartment, hotel, retail and residential. Ms. Day has extensive experience in structuring real estate transactions, negotiating joint venture arrangements on behalf of developers and investors, negotiating purchase and sale agreements, negotiating loan arrangements, and in negotiating loan workouts and restructurings. Further, Ms. Day has represented many private partnerships and limited liability companies, as well as public REIT's, in senior and subordinate securitized financing arrangements, as well as conventional financial transactions. Ms. Day has also represented lenders in both front end real estate lending transactions and loan restructurings and workouts.
More recently, Ms. Day has represented and continues to represent the joint venture that acquired Central Parking Corporation in its senior and subordinate securitized real estate financing arrangements and the sale of numerous assets. In addition, Ms. Day represented and continues to represent the joint venture that acquired the Mervyn's Department store chain in its real estate financing arrangements and the sale of assets. |
